Construction Tip: When hiring a contractor, trust your instincts. Ask yourself, do you trust this person with your money? I’m a seasoned builder and I won’t hire anyone I don’t trust because they’ll eventually take advantage of you. Experience has taught me to distrust contractor quotes that seem too low to be true. Some contractors will provide an unbelievably low quote, but then run out of money before they can finish the job. Or they simply do a poor job or walk off the job entirely before it’s completed.
In the long run it’s always better to do it right the first time.
